Hello Everyone!
I'd like to start by saying that this moment has taken me forever. It's not that there was a lot of work involed in creating this blog. No blood or sweat (well maybe a little sweat due to the fact that I was on a run prior to this post). I guess the real reason why this moment has taken forever was because I was just plain lazy.
Hey, it happens! But that's still no excuse. So finally I bring to you the relase of my brand new blog, The Gaiety Girl. The story behind the name is that it comes from a play that was from the 1920's. If you know me (it's okay if you don't, pleanty of time for that) you would know I'm a huge fan of the 20's. Glitz, glamour, flapper dresses; just the mention of the 20's makes my heart flutter. The roaring 20's, as they called it were such an elegant time in history. F. Scott Fitzgerald, Coco Chanel, and Picaso all played major parts in the 20's.
Anyways, as I shut the door on my previous blogs, I reopen a new and much improved one. This blog will not only consist of fashion but also travel, food, music, and film. Basically everything culture related. Although I'll miss Turffles, It was time to say farewell and press the delete button. My heart wasn't fully in it and I just needed to start over. With this blog I'll make sure to update almost every day and devote my time entirely. Plus, I'm in a completely different place in my life right now where I feel that I'll be able to take this on.
With that said I hope that you guys read my posts daily and also keep in touch with me through Twitter. Also feel free to send me ideas you might have or any trends you're loving at the moment. I always love to hear what other people are loving. I hope you all have a wonderful and try to stay cool!
Yours,
Sandra Rose :)
